Kitsilano Woman's Volleyball Club
A custom admin platform with a client-facing WordPress front end and an admin backend designed to make registration simple, clear, and easy to manage.
Client Overview
A Vancouver non-profit supporting women’s competitive beach volleyball.
Kitsilano Women’s Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 to create more opportunities for women to play competitive beach volleyball at Kitsilano Beach. Since then, the women’s game has grown significantly across Canada, with Vancouver becoming an important hub for the sport. While the club has evolved over the years, its purpose has stayed consistent: supporting more women in playing, competing, and building community through beach volleyball.

Challenges
Managing tournament signups without a centralized system or public-facing site.
Tournament registration was previously managed through a manual process, with player information and rankings updated separately. Without a centralized database or public-facing website, the workflow required extra admin time, made it harder to keep rankings current, and limited how easily players could find tournament information and sign up.
Tournament Registration System
An automated backend connected to a new WordPress front end.
The new system creates a more organized workflow for managing tournament registration and participant information. A custom database and backend admin, built with Next.js, allow key details to be managed in one place, while the database connects to the public-facing WordPress site so players can easily find tournament information and sign up.
Website Preview
A clearer front end for players.
The new WordPress site gives players a public place to view tournament information, check details, and sign up through a streamlined registration flow.
